The University of Latvia (UL) Faculty of Law recently hosted a productive meeting with colleagues from Nicolaus Copernicus University (Poland) to lay the groundwork for closer and more multifaceted cooperation between the two institutions.

During the visit, both parties agreed on:

  • Joint participation in international projects.
  • The development of scientific monographs.
  • Mutual participation in conferences, enriching the academic environment of both universities with new reports and research.

Particular attention was also devoted to the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme, aimed at promoting the mobility of both faculty members and students.

The Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń was represented by:

  • Professor Jacek Wantoch-Rekowski, Vice-Dean;
  • Professor Agnieszka Laskowska-Hulisz, Department of Civil Procedure;
  • Dr. Katarzyna Krupa-Lipińska.

The UL Faculty of Law was represented by:

  • Assoc. Prof. Edvīns Danovskis, Dean;
  • Assoc. Prof. Vadims Mantrovs, Vice-Dean;
  • Docent Daina Ose;
  • Lecturers Mārcis Krūmiņš and Aldis Laviņš.

This meeting marks a new chapter in the partnership between the two faculties, fostering the exchange of experience and academic growth on an international scale.
